This week, I’m enjoying the satisfaction of launching a new website I recently worked on with Second Thought, for Calbag Metals in Portland, Oregon. The site was built in WordPress and is very data-rich and customized, with multiple custom post types and layouts. Features include a dynamically-updateable sortable recycling guide and item highlights, dynamic employee bios, embedded Facebook and blog feeds, and a separate mobile-friendly layout.

I’ve subcontracted with Second Thought on a number of other sites such as Rogue Ales and NSCDA. They give me fulfilling and well-thought-out projects and detail-oriented designs that present the best kinds of enjoyable challenges. I always learn something new and push myself just that bit more. Developing this site, I realized how much I actually really enjoy working in jQuery. Who knew?
